winter projects

Well, I don't have nearly as many project cars (or cars in general, for that matter) as Rick Lindsay (though I really admire his collection - for many the same reasons he does!), but still have some projects to work on.

- XK-120 - need to get it in the air and do some clean-up underneath.  Need to check for a sticking float in the front bowl.  Need to look for any "worse than normal" oil leak (seems to need a quart every single time I check it).  Lube chassis points (there's only two dozen of them!).  In other words, normal stuff for a car like that.

- Spitfire - Only what it's needed for several years now - get new ignition system installed and continue to work on tuning the SUs.  If I can't make progress, it'll go to the pro who did the fantastic tune-up on the 120 (Mercer & Woodson in Richmond - shameless plug, Bruce W. did a fantastic job!).

- Miata - oil change and get back up to dealer to check on what feels like a tire vibration (just had new tires installed in early November - less than 150 miles on them...).

- E-Type - in winter hibernation at Dad's house, so nothing for now.  Will get restored license plate back and bring up to mount sometime in the spring.  Other than that, I'll just work with Dad on what it needs/doesn't need....

If I can find the time, I'm sure it won't be until after the holidays.
