What you do in that case is marry up the old stuff with the new stuff and pull it thru
Works most of the time if there is sufficient room
Had to replace the hood cable on the TR once
Got close to God on that one!

Understood Clyde – I spent 4 hours with a friend running steel cable through the door sill to pull new heater and vacuum hose on my 308.  Me in the back oiling and pushing, him  in the front pulling with both feet aginst the wheel well.  Thank goodness for beer.

Subject: [Ferrari] For the wrench possers you know who you are

If you want to know why Italy is still a good second world country work on a Ferrari

Engine is in car

Attaching hoses etc

Heater hose is a bitch to install

Note to self next time as as engine goes in attach hose

But wait there's more

Same engine same year right!

Fucking hot water pipe on new engine is 5 inches shorter than my engine hence my heater hose will not reach it

Oh did I mention engine is BOLTED IN CAR AND CHAINS OFF OF IT

Soooo remove old heater hose assembly from old engine

Easy engine out of car

Even a wrench posser can do It with supervision (you know who you are )

Did I fail to say it's in the damn car with about as much room to put a 1/4" socket on the bolts as a new girlfriend (read tight)

Get hose assembly's off of engine in car (wew)

Put new old heater hose assembly on engine in car (wrench posser crying )

Done

Ok Jeopardy Questions

What 4 wrenches size are needed to work on any Ferrari

You wrench possers will fail this one big time

Only us true Ferrari Techs will pass this one

Waiting for answers!!!!!!
