Yup...I encourage everyone to share their streams of consciousness immediately... All we ask is to put the word spoiler in the subject.

Just a little courtesy... Not that complicated...:-)

It's been common courtesy on the Ferrari List for the 18 years I've been a subscriber.

As I told Erik this morning...  I've (personally) always abided by the spoiler rule.  I treat it as common courtesy.   Perhaps uncommon?

I'm just abashed by what seems like a bunch of kids running around with their hands over their ears singing "I can't hear you" when it comes to how the want to receive this spoiler issue.  Some will abide, some won't.   We shouldn't chastise those who don't.....  or merely forget.   People shouldn't always thrust their foibles others.  I completely understand that some people don't want to know outcomes until they've seen it themselves... I'm traveling this weekend myself.  But we shouldn't always expect others to contain their enthusiasm just because we haven't had an opportunity or exercised the fortitude to see for ourselves.  I see that as selfish.  I will exercise a bit of "self control" and exclude myself from my mail and RSS feeds until I get home tomorrow afternoon to watch it.  Or, I'll takes my chances and pay my prices...  The world won't stop based on whether I do or do not know the outcome of something that has already happened.  If by chance something wonderful happens with Ferrari and my friends here chose to celebrate and forget the "spoiler alert", I'll either miss it completely (until I read it later) or smile knowing my friends have something to cheer about.   I'll never BAG on anyone for either not abiding or simply forgetting.   YMMV.

Maybe I'm getting old...  I just couldn't believe someone developed an app to weed out "spoiler" info when all one really needs is a bit of self discipline.

It's as if people have to consult their phones to live their lives.

Oh brother.  Others should shut themselves off (or block emails from you) until they've caught up on all matters of personal interest ... and if I stay up and watch the GP or F1 at 3:00am Sunday, I should share my stream of consciousness to broadcast forum emails ...

Personally, I'm tired of stop signs.  Why ask others for so much cooperation?  Madness.
We should all live free and not demand to be so entitled!

Don't click on the email....

Why ask others to protect you?
Don't sit down at your computer
Watch your event before you tread on spoiled info...

Shall I go on...

Self control.

I know, some people will die if they are not "connected"

For those concerned about spoilers and unwelcome rumor blather, there are browser plug-ins ("apps") to block unwanted content, and some blockers are designed to block spoilers (e.g.  unspoiler) that filter out movie plots, game scores, etc.

Every now and then I get on a browser that doesn't have the usual adblock and unspoiler plug-ins — the amount of noise is painful enough to make me stop and plug-in some silencers.
