Now why is that?
I have the 308 (GT4) workshop manual and in it, it says the clearance of the linkage between the pedal bell-crank and booster is between 0 to 0.3mm and WITHIN the booster (so, to the master cylinder) is set from the factory. Set to what? Why is it so critical? You have the free pedal travel adjusted to 8 to 10mm, the inbetween linkage at this paltry amount, what more slop do you want in a braking system that it could be set to? Admittedly, this is the one component that I did not touch in my brake rebuild several years ago, just because of this warning (did everything else including fabricating new pipes, new hoses, rebuilt and replated the calipers, replaced the warning light switch because the original switch shorted out, etc). And yet, there are a few parts suppliers who clearly show a bare master cylinder being available, sans booster. ?
