As one ex-military flier to another, I sent my congrats and thanks privately.
But when it comes to retirement rules I take a slightly different bent. A- don't do anything you don't want to do. B- no reason to put anything off. If you want to do it, you now have the time, go do it. C- regret the things you did, don't go to your end regretting things you didn't do.
Rick Now Clyde, there are rules for retirement 1. Don't do anything that you can put off until tomorrow unless you want to do it. 2. When it rains you can can do the chores that you put off until tomorrow. If you followed the first rule you won't have anything to complain about when it rains that you don't have anything to do. 0. You have a Ferrari so you have a hobby. Hobbies are a prerequisite for retirement.
I retired at 54 and now 71, did not get my Ferrari until I was 60 and had hobbies before since the Ferrari now I have a REAL hobby.
Enjoy it you earned it.
