Hurumph –
Charles – - - - know what’s parked outside the Porsche design studio and other top car marques? Skate boards and slider cars. Brilliant little kids all trying to outdo each other. You should see what’s going on at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. Tho, quite by accident, a long time ago, when we attended a get-together there Terri and I had lunch with Ken Okuyama, designer of the Enzo. Interesting fellow.
Inside todays ‘concept’ cars (snort) they look like a giant iPhone and a chrome coffee pot. Touch screens galore. Gotta beat Tesla. NO concept for geezers who like knobs for their radios and a/c controls.
Yeah, Tesla – a car that can’t go from Los Angeles to San Francisco without a charging stop. They’re nice around town and have nanosecond instant full on torque tho.
Ah well - Gimmie my old time religion when it comes to cars.
Yours truly
GRUMPY DOUG – a 43 year card carrying PCA member.
Ah well, Now where’s my coffee?

This showed up in my inbox this morning. I’m not a huge Porsche fan but this thing looks pretty interesting. Kind of a “Porsche does Tesla & BMW i8”.
Definitely like the styling. 918 nose, Maserati Gran Turismo in the middle, and a “we’re really sorry about what we did to the Panamera” ass. Great interior.
Something fun for a Tuesday.

Dear Charles PerryWhat do we at Porsche think of when we look to tomorrow? Sports cars, naturally. Our Mission Future Sports Car. But we also look for sustainable mobility, and consider trends for digitization and urbanization. Because in the future our sports cars will tackle these routes too - in pole position - bringing new technologies from the race track to the road.
With Concept Study Mission E we take our next step towards the future. With an all-electric sports car that defines our vision of e-mobility.
A tribute to the dream of Ferry Porsche. A tribute to tomorrow.
