Hey now, you knew a Tesla guy would reply, but all I have to say to your commentary is that the best way to handle the situation is to have both. I've driven my Tesla from Virginia to California and back and it was pretty much the best road trip car ever -- if not the quickest way to get there. For "fuel" everything was free except for one unlimited 3 day charging pass for Zion National Park for $5.00 plus tax. But in 2011 I did a similar trip in the 1939 Rolls-Royce where for the amount of fuel I bought I could have had it shipped back and forth from Virginia to California twice round trip, but I'd never give up having spent that month on the road with my boys for anything....

Haven't done a road trip in the 308 in a while but remember the fun going from Virginia to Hallett (Oklahoma), Montreal a few times, Dallas to work on it with Ric Rainbolt, etc....

Yeah, Tesla – a car that can’t go from Los Angeles to San Francisco without a charging stop.  They’re nice around town and have nanosecond instant full on torque tho.

Ah well - Gimmie my old time religion when it comes to cars.

This showed up in my inbox this morning. I’m not a huge Porsche fan but this thing looks pretty interesting. Kind of a “Porsche does Tesla & BMW i8”.

Definitely like the styling. 918 nose, Maserati Gran Turismo in the middle, and a “we’re really sorry about what we did to the Panamera” ass. Great interior.

Something fun for a Tuesday.
