Re: The "Ferrari List"

I probably joined the list around 1999, when I started shopping for my QV.

At the time, my then wife thought I was getting too old to be driving around
in a "kid's car" (old Nissan Sentra, and thought I should buy a Volvo sedan.

When I saw the price of said sedan, my reaction was "yikes, that is nuts, I
could buy a Ferrari for less than that"; her response as "really?"; my
response was "yeah"; and she said "then you should"; and I said "then I
will!"...

Despite the fact that we are no longer married, the above exchange does make
it obvious that there were reasons for why we were together... :)

16 years later, I'm still here, and the QV is still in the garage.

BTW: I saved $8k by buying the QV, rather than the Volvo... :)

BTW2: Does anyone remember the old "The List" polo shirts? If there is a
stash of those in someone's garage, I'd buy a bunch. Probably my favorite
shirt of all time; still have two, but they are pretty threadbare.

    Merry Xmas to All!
