For me, real wealth is knowing when NOT to foolishly spend money to impress friends or satisfy some internal inadequacy...  if you need to do that, you need better friends.  Knowing you CAN pay cash for any Ferrari (or two) on the lot is enough.... don't need to actually do it.  The pleasure one can derive from walking away from a smug salesman and hearing the voice in your head say "if you only knew, asshole, if you only knew" is subtly enlightening .   Plus, its one less thing to add to the Trust.

Don't get me wrong...  Dusty Johnson once sent me a sign for the garage:  Money can't buy Happiness...  But Happiness can't buy Ferraris!  So, I'm happy with a full garage of "paid for" toys.

What was John Goodman's line in "The Gambler"??   The ability to say FU!! to anyone at anytime.  That was my goal.

Ah, grasshopper still has much to learn.

One must never confuse the maximizing cash flow crowd with real wealth...
