Yes, you’re way too nostalgic Peter. It’s a different world and Ferrari has gone ahead. Take the tour, it’s worth it. Plus , take the bus tours  Ferrari is offering now (another new thing). You’ll see different places around Modena and Maranello and Bologna. I saw a family winery that dates back to 1816. The building still dates back from the 19th century from the outside. But, inside all the modern equipment you need and only 4 employees for 1 million bottles of wine a year. They have gone ahead too. I saw Enzo Ferrari Museum in Modena (the picture here shows a tower, with a tree that is growing through the bricks,  that is hundreds of years old with the modern Enzo Ferrari museum and the original Ferrari place, Officinal Meccanica Alfredo Ferrari, where he worked in the 1930s), Luciano Pavarotti museum too, etc.
