Hard to believe this was 40 years ago!?  Remember it as quite a sensation in USAF circles.  At the time, I was the Director of Operational Intelligence at TAC HQ at Langley AFB.  Belenko brought us many long days, answering questions and projecting significance.  Kudos to my analysts.   The four-star was impatient ....
