One other thing to also consider is corrosion and rubber condition.  We’ve taken apart the entire fuel tank assemblies in my 308 in the last couple of weeks and the sender unit and the metallic filter were both fairly corroded.  Also taking this as an opportunity to completely replace all of the fuel lines as some were showing a little bit of wear.  Eventually, the whole thing needs to come apart for a proper overhaul and it is the right time to inspect everything when it is accessible to do so.

YMMV,
Erik

To all of you with 308/328/Mondial/348/355/TR/512/etc etc.....

Please heed Clyde's advice.  Attached is a photo of what can happen when electrical issues are not addressed.

This may well be the single best thing you can do to your car, and for yourself, today.
