A Big thing in retirement is to take every silly little thing as a fun
project. This is a fun part of life which requires using everything you
have stuffed into your brain to date to resolve unimportant issues and to get
satisfaction and enjoyment from the time spend doing so. Like your backup
light, it’s really no big deal but it can be a fun exercise to make it work they
way you want it to. AND that doesn’t have to be the way the factory or
someone else wants it...you will make it work to satisfy your needs and
desires. Carry that attitude throughout each day and ENJOY.

From what I was told all the original parts were used in the car
refurbished or replaced with new old stock parts. the wiring harness was removed
taken apart all the wires checked for continuity and then it was reassembled and
reinstalled.
there was an awful lot of work done on this car, but
just all sorts of little bugs and details that I need to either run down and
fix! It took me 25 years to get a car built in Italy to start working perfectly,
so it makes sense it would be even harder to get a car that was completely
disassembled and put back together again dialed in! I'm also having problems
with the tachometer and speedometer jerking wildly and then when the car is
running well and warmed up they settle down to be normal? Several people have
told me that in a complete restoration it is a last 5% of issues that are the
hardest to settle and the most expensive I think that's where I am at.
I am retiring in a month so hypothetically but I'm
not playing in the band or traveling I can spend most my time trying to fix
stuff!! Ha

It's possible they could have used a 308 wiring harness for a U.S. car...
My guess. I have severe doubts he would have had someone build each wire and
loom it into a harness. Time is money. A LOT easier to buy an OEM NOS harness
(I've seen 'em on ebay).
If you get a chance Rob, open your glove box door and get a good close-up
picture of the fuse boxes, especially the right-hand box and post it here.
Paul and the rest of us can take a look and see what wires are hooked up. As
he mentioned, the one wire (for the reverse lights) could be misplaced and
this will be seen.

This was the new 308 GT 41974 European model it was completely
disassembled and rebuilt from the ground up for me I thought I would have a
car that would be perfect but is turning into a nightmare that's a standard
fuse box and relay panel in the picture was taken when or where were rewiring
the car
I will check with that release handle is
for..,

Nor am I able to make any sense. Stared at
it for 1/2 hour and still cannot place it into much more than a test fixture
or engine stand or ??? Thoughts -- Front Bonnet at top of
photo Fiberglass cockpit - steering column stub at center
left Gearshift tunnel but no gearshift Freshly black painted throttle
pedal Pull cable on the right is for a bonnet latch release but on wrong
side unless it's for rear bonnet. Relay panel legend doesn't match
inserted relays I tried to match the fuse panel wire colors against
various cars and it looks generic 308 even 512 Was this photo with
another photo(s) which can provide additional clues? As Arte Johnson used
to say ... "sehr interesting" paul
I have been so busy not had a chance to even look at the car but just found this
photo which I can make no sense of….
