Yea, I'm no Red Bull fan and as you know, I don’t really give a damn about the Driver's Championship. Well, actually I don't care about the Constructor's Championship either. I just like the cars. Hopefully next year's cars will be a little more interesting. It seems that this year's technological excitement centered around reliability! Boring. Max wasn't boring.

In evolution, it is the simpler, more generalized forms that survive. The frilly, fancy ones are overly sensitive to changes in environment. (Yea, humans survived because we're generalized and boring, not because were special.) Anyway, all the F1 DNFs this season, ERS related power problems, and on thecstreet, the plethora of recalls, give testament to that claim! Complex is perilous, simple is robust, if elegant. But I rant.

I hope to get a quote for a 'minor service' for my Testarossa this morning. FoH quoted $16k for a 'major' - the only kind they would do. More on that when I know it.

This afternoon I'm rebuilding SU carburetors. You know, simple, boring and elegant little machines.
