I agree. I thought the first "performance SUV" (BMW X5) was the dumbest idea on earth. A mongrel that couldn't be a high performer while not being enough "utility". 

Boy, was I wrong!  The market likes them, buys them, loves them. 

If it helps them keep producing SOTA sports cars, it's fine with me. The market always knows what is best, commercially at least.

I actually read an interview in which Marchionne said the SUV will be  available within 5 years. The apocalypse.
That’s what happens when you suddenly become a public company with millions of stock holders to please.

I wish I had bought that stock at the beginning.
