Sounds of Sebring ('62, '63) records I bought at the Auto Show in Boston as a 5th grader were so influential in fueling my love of sports cars and sports car racing.  Each Ferrari, Aston, Corvette, etc. had a distinctive sound. It was fabulous to hear these cars come to life when all I had was R&T to read about them.

1956, 7 and maybe more – “Sounds of Sebring” on vinyl by Riverside Records.  Not bad, not bad.

Or – 1968 Lemans by Terrific Stuff Videos.  GT40 one lap (I love the acceleration sounds of this one – in car with jabbering done by Sterling Moss) a little more than 4 minutes.  Gurney/Westlake heads on a 289 Indy engine with canted Weber’s.

And then there’s a whole collection of race tracks driving with Derek Bell driving a Porsche 956.  Sweet – a bit quite due to the turbo engine but compared to the GT40 going down the Mulsanne Straight – the roads dotted lines become a blur and the wind shield is a massive bug killer.
