Very sad, never met him, but he was a hero in the Ferrari community. I made many models of his cars when I built 1/43 scale models!
We all have to go I guess its all about what you do while your here…. I don't know how many of you knew Ron Spangler of Prancing Horse Farms, he passed away yesterday after a Brief illness. Ron was one of the really good guys in the Ferrari community and I had the pleasure of knowing him and doing business with him for over 35 years, He was affectionately know as Uncle Ron ( Zio in Italian) Ron managed a second overall at Daytona with his comp Daytona and also campaigned a 512 BBLM, owned many Ferrari's over the years and was a great guy. RIP RON SPANGLER <image1.JPG>Thank you Chris Hill On Apr 6, 2018, at 5:16 AM, ferrari-request [at] ferrarilist.com wrote:

Hi all, Inviting anyone who would like a nice ride and great eats. Weather is going to be sunny, but cool. Come on!
2018 RTE Ride To Eat Northwest TN Saturday April 7, 2018 See the Eagles Hi all, My suggestion for the winter doldrums is to put this SPRING RTE on your calendar and you'll be part of the magic of wishing for better riding conditions in the new season, promise! Ride Safe everyone and see you in West Tennessee, Tiptonville on Saturday April, 7th (First Saturday in April). I would like to be contacted CaptRehkopf@geemaildotcom so I'll know how big a room to reserve? Boyettte's Restaurant in Tiptonville, TN, 12:00-2:00pm Saturday April 7, 2018. This ride is scheduled at the same time as the Bald Eagles' baby eaglets should be about two to three weeks old. The Ranger Station across the highway has had cameras on their nesting sites. So, if the Eagles cooperate and nest where the cameras are then you can see these magnificent birds close up. Additionally, the Ranger Station has other live examples of wildlife including two Bald Eagles that are injured and can't hunt for themselves, so you'll see Eagles regardless. http://www.reelfoot.com/eagles.htm Boyette's serves family style and is described below: Since 1921 Boyette's has been one of west Tennessee's top restaurants. People from all over a four state area make the drive every week to experience the true flavor of the south. Just make sure you're hungry, because their specialty is serving up generous portions of Catfish, Country Ham, Fried Chicken and more. Put it together with some homemade hushpuppies, onion rings and country vegetables and it's not just a meal it's an experience. http://www.reelfoot.com/boyettes/index.htm Boyette's Dining Room (N36 21.643 W89 25.985) Hwy. 21 Tiptonville, TN 38079 Ride Safe, Think Fast! Clyde,
Just two different perspectives.....and applications.
For us regular folk who have grown up in the cities mentioned (SF & NYC) with real estate in both locales owned dating back to the '70s and '80s respectively, yeah allow us to have an opinion over folks who don't/won't ever live or invest there. About 85% of the friends I grew up with had to leave 5 borough NYC for Long Island, Westchester, Jersey, etc.....because proper houses can no longer be afforded by the standard middle class. SF the same, probably more so....
For the wealthy, any and all cities can be seen as having market crashes when their $80 million mega luxury apartment has to sell for half or a third. Truly the 0.001% of problems.
So both perspectives can be right, and for the context of this conversation as it applies to 250 GTOs, I guess NYC real estate "has crashed".......but for the rest of us who actually live in those places (and not talk s**** from the outside with arrogance), excuse us for seeing things differently. :)
A lister told me years ago he'd have to sell his Ferraris if he wanted to move to NYC, and trust me he won't be the only one from now until eternity...
