I was doing 575 on the clock at 200 ft. in Northern Laos and took a 50 cal hit through the nose.  Stopped just behind the A.I.  Gave me a pitching down moment. I  raised a little dust off the ground according to my wingman!  He took a hit through his right wing also.  We broke up hard and left for NKP.  I leveled off coming through 31k and was going to jettison ordinance when I realized that we were still going too fast!  We throttled back and looked each other over and weren't leaking anything, so, we went home to Ubon.  Another day, another dollar.
