The airbag is a R&R 15 minuets and it’s a non event.
Pop the cover off, put the new unit in, put the cover back on.
In fact a body shop guy told me that the steering wheel airbag is generic, it the cover that is specific, which makes sense.
As for any car

Thanks for bringing this to our attention...

This will take years to resolve EVERY car that is affected. I’m curious, how long does a manufacturer have to honor a recall item as important as this? Let’s say that, 10, 15 years from now, a person buys a 2009 California as their first – affordable, because we all know these cars will be dirt cheap in the future – Ferrari and, somehow, it never got the airbag work done. Can that new owner still have the repair made, despite the extreme length of time elapsed?

Peter

P.S. Please save the comments about the California will never be collectable. All of the oldtimers crapped on the 308 GT4 over the years and yes, I picked up mine as a dirt-cheap car with needs. Only because I loved the car for what it is, a cool car. I’m sure there are people out there who have the same desire for the California now (and the other models too, like the 458) but will have to wait until the day to buy them at their bottomed-out value price.
