I hate to say this but Italian doctors and hospitals are not the best

I can’t tell you the number of missed diagnosed issues that in the states would have been caught
Not third world but close
Their  hospitals are atrocious
As an airline pilot flying Italy ROME,and Venice  some aircrew would get hurt and naturally the captain, me would be involved,
I’ve seen field hospitals with better conditions

Thinking about this, it’s been noted Sergio smoked heavily. When my father was diagnosed with lung cancer, I read that sometimes tumors can grow at certain areas of the lung(s), notably at the upper regions that can grow so large, they press up against the shoulder. This article notes a “...An invasive disease emanating from the prostate had already spread in a devastating manner, but only discovered a short time ago...” Which, in the case of my father, the oncologists had speculated it may have started in his prostate (if maybe not, it certainly spread to there, as well as his liver, bones, etc).

I’d hate to speculate, but this sounds eerily similar. I don’t think this is going to end well.
