Ow…….

Picture this – about 1999 I was at a no name shop in Emeryville (or thereabouts), CA and saw a 288 GTO with the right side shoved in.  Fellows were nice about it.  Seems another shop did a service on it and one of the techs was showing a buddy how this thing could go -  - and go it did.  Half way through a 90 degree turn the turbos kicked in and kicked the car off a similar drop off.   The car came to a rest but not before going thru a chain link fence and a telephone pole.  From the driver’s side you could hardly tell there was a body problem.  One solution – buy it and mount it above your bar in your living room with the right side to the wall.  Quite a conversation piece.

PS – the $250 price tag today for the 512 poster is cheaper money than when it happened.  Good deal.  No garage should be without it.

Likewise the Aviation poster:

  Hi Charles,

Thanks for your reply.

For me, Paypal is the best payment option. My email is also my Paypal account.

Today being Friday, I won't be able to end before Monday, possibly Tuesday.

Here's another pic....I shot about 2 rolls since I knew it was something I would never see again.

Cheers!

Tony

Must be fun for something you just happened into to be such a recurring theme in your life and be so memorable for so many.

I would definitely like to have one of the prints. Just let me know how you prefer payment and I'll take care of that and get you the shipping information.

Great to hear from you. Thanks!

 Hi Charles,

Thanks for you message.

Glad you remember that old pic and thanks for sharing it on FerrariList.

Yes I do have a few prints left.

Price is the same as noted on the original post: $250. USD, including shipping anywhere.

Let me know if you would like to proceed.

Thanks again, it never fails to amaze me that it had such an impact on so many people!

Best regards,

Tony

Hi Tony! Came across the old Ferrari Chat thread involving your classic print.

That was one of the most memorable car rag pics of my childhood, and Peter Egan remains my all-time favorite automotive writer.

If there are any of the larger prints you had made left, I’d love to have one. Let me know.

It’s also being discussed again on The FerrariList, so I might be able to drum up a few more orders if they are available.

Thanks!
