Damn, you’re 6 months too late.    The little old man that did mine passed in 
February (in his shop at age 89).  His son, who couldn’t put batteries in a 
flashlight, sold every tool in his shop and the house it was a part of.

Can anyone out there recommend a service to repair a Blaupunkt  Frankfurt
radio/tape player?

And to answer the question "why"?  the answer is 'cause I'm anal retentive
and that's that.
