I’ve never even seen a photo of a 360 targa. Do you have one? I thought the 355GTS was the last Ferrari with a targa top. I do love the ones on my Corvettes. Simple and easy and reliable, and the C7 one is extremely lightweight. This in contrast to the current 911 Targa which is cool to watch operate, but horrifically complex and almost certainly a black hole of dollars once the warranty is out.
This patent looks different not just because of the slightly higher windshield as the article describes, but also because it seems paired with a retractable rear window (a la Honda del Sol, some pick up trucks) to reduce cabin turbulence. Pretty sweet.
They used to sell a little after market adapter for the C4 Corvette that would leave the hatchback peeking open an inch or two when closed. Supposedly that also significantly cut cabin turbulence, but I never tried it.

This is intriguing, because I remember that the 360 was the last model available with a detachable roof (an exceptionally rare option, only a handful of cars were ever fitted). It was more like a sunroof, but nonetheless.
I suppose, as it pointed out in the article, that retractable hard-top roofs are the norm now with convertibles, it isn’t too much effort to have just a roof section come off by hand:
