I know George, he was a Spad pilot out of NKP and after the Air Force worked for Hughes Aircraft. His book 'Testing Death' is a good read.

We were at NKP at different times, but discovered he flew the target aircraft for a couple of the radar projects at Hughes that I was involved in. He's a docent at the Estrella Warbird Museum in Paso Robles. Great museum that's growing. 

Met Robin Olds daughter Christina up there a year or so ago, she was the speaker at one of the monthly dinners.
