Erik, thank you so much! Along those lines, here’s one of my favorite videos of an early, competition version of the F40, driven by ex-F1 driver Jacques Lafitte at the Mas du Clos track in France. Pretty good footage considering this was decades before GoPros: www.youtube.com - Ferrari F40 LM I always enjoy Davide’s videos. It’s one thing to read the books and magazines about these cars, but it’s another to hear the candid, frank words coming from the people who created them. I would’ve loved for this to be longer than the 24+ minutes it actually was! Imagine what else was said... Technical note; what 288 GTO was featured in that video? Obviously, the silver color is extremely rare, but the front air dam had a different, deeper shape to it than “regular” 288 GTOs. This must be a special example.
