Coincidentally, the attached photo popped up in our Memories feed on FB this morning.

Last year when Dennis and I drove his McLaren cross country, the only time we got stopped was this photo, driving through a small town in Arkansas. It was dusk and we had seen lots of deer, so I was just puttering through town when they threw the blues. Officers turned out to be fun guys. The one said they were eating in the station house when we drove by and he smacked his buddy and said, “Get in the truck!” Followed us through town and then stopped us since they had never seen one before.

All good. Later, Dennis: “You know that was a blatant violation of the fourth amendment.”

“Maybe, but if I don’t get a ticket I totally don’t care.”

Here’s a good one

I live in Georgia

And I am not WHITE

I was driving the 512 TR

Not speeding

A state trooper pulls me over

And comes by the car and says to me and I quote

“You weren’t doing anything wrong I just never seen one of these on the road, nice car!”

I Sh*t you not !

It's not a matter of affording the ticket, it's just such a pain in the ass getting pulled over, especially since I'm always right on time, so any delays and I'll be late.

I would say, that if you are going to spring for a Ferrari, go for the model and color you like best and don't worry about the small stuff!

Subject: [Ferrari] Question for the list re: red cars

Okay, guys, I know from a resale point, "resale red" is always a good color choice, but from a driving standpoint, do you guys find driving a red Ferrari gets too much attention (especially from the police/revenue collectors) versus other colors? Currently spec'ing a car, and I've got to admit I'm definitely finding myself drawn to red, but concerned it will get more attention than I'd like to attract.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts/suggestions.
