Our favorite rocket scientist was offered a Veyron and said no after seeing it in the flesh at Pebble in 2006. Bentley should have built the Hunaudieres. But even that was just a Diablo with a W engine.
Mind you when the replica Type 35 came out, he was order #9...
Not at all, it was a dig aimed at our favorite rocket scientist.. ssshhhh....
So you're saying not even a 1930's Bugatti or an
EB110 is cool? Come on - this is the same thing we accuse
Porsche and Ferrari snobs of ... Most Bugatti's are worth far
more than 95% of Ferrari's ever built. They were engineering
marvels back then and today. Who else is building a car that
does what the Veyron and Chiron can do? While appreciating from
new? If I won the lottery I wold guarantee you I'd have at
least one.

Buying/driving a Bugatti in NYC... what could go wrong?
I've only been in NYC twice, once as a pre-teen with my
folks and once as a young Navy pilot in a hot tricycle...
- They can have New York! Don't need it. Nuke it, pave
it, make a race track, we need more race tracks
- I could pull a high AoA 6+ G turn with bandits on my tail
and snap it into a high-side gun pass... But I wouldn't
drive in New York if you paid me!!!
- If I absolutely had to drive NYC, I'd only do it in a
Checker Marathon... or a Cat D-10
- Anybody who'd buy a Bugatti.... well.... <flame
proof underwear on>
And the situational awareness of someone
who rides in the back of limos...
