This reminds me of my late father’s Kia Sedona van and his problems with the driver’s side power window switch.

It was glitchy, you had to punch it with your finger for it to work. Sometimes it didn’t do that either.  So, I offered to try to fix it.

It didn’t take much effort, the switches were mounted on a small plastic panel, so just a simple pry with a screwdriver and out it came. All of the switches were separate and snapped in with tabs that, luckily, that Korean plastic was rather pliable so none of them broke when popping the individual switches out of their sockets. That’s half the battle won right there!

Again, the switch disassembled easily and I noticed the internal contact toggle had a nub that was nearly worn down to the base, thus, not making good contact with the metal contacts anymore. So, how to fix this? He NEVER rolled down the passenger’s side window... I just swapped switches! Popped the whole works back in, worked like a charm! Zero dollars out of his pocket!

Peter

You got me curious.....

Scuderia Parts lists the switch at $641.  Still not cheap, but better than $2000
