So, like missing a gear, or slipping?

When I had my Smart car, it had that garbage, single-clutch automated manual. Slow as molasses. I was stuck in a rush hour traffic jam one day and was in a left-hand turning lane to get out of the mess. When the light turned green, the traffic ahead of me weren’t driving that particularly fast and it just happened to be the right combination of that slow traffic, turning and a slight uphill that the car totally freaked out. Just like a 16 year old driving a stick for the first time, that car was bucking and jerking like crazy. It was so embarrassing...

That was the first-gen, diesel Smart. The second-gen, gas powered Smarts were even worse! I was given one as a loaner while my car was in for repairs and I couldn’t wait to bring that piece of junk back!

So I just put 600 miles on the car this weekend. To an from Atlanta to Savannah.
Hot steamy, car ran like a champ. Noticed a little blip when going from 4-6 at around 4-5 k rpm wise but maybe it’s me.
Temps and pressures were great.
Liking the F-1 box more and more
