Best concert I ever went to was ZZ top! Great showmen on stage!

Frank Beard the drummer was the owner of the car. I think the other guy is the builder, from WI or MN and his was Mark Garisch (sp?).

I saw the GTO convertible in the paddock at Laguna Seca in 1993.

I believe the car was featured in one of the R&T special editions back in the ‘90s.

That picture from the 80s. It’s pretty well-documented they had two of those convertible GTO‘s built. I think one of the guys in the band had one and another member liked it so much he had one built too. I can’t remember exactly but I think they built them on 250 chassis’s. At one of the Beverly Hills car shows I went to I’m pretty sure one of the guys was there. I know they’re all big car guys. Although I’ve rubbed a lot of elbows with other musicians I never got to spend any time with these guys unfortunately.
