Best concert I ever went to was ZZ top! Great showmen on stage!
Frank Beard the drummer was the owner of the car. I think the other guy is the builder, from WI or MN and his was Mark Garisch (sp?).
I saw the GTO convertible in the paddock at Laguna Seca in 1993. It’s pretty well-documented they had two of those convertible GTO‘s built. I think one of the guys in the band had one and another member liked it so much he had one built too. them on 250 chassis’s. At one of the Beverly Hills car shows I went to I’m pretty sure one of the guys was there. I know they’re all big car guys. Although I’ve rubbed a lot of elbows with other musicians I never got to spend any time with these guys unfortunately.
