Flying IFR in the North Atlantic, 2 hours until sun-up...  400 miles to the nearest land mass (maybe 3000-3 alternate, maybe not), no moon, no ability to discriminate sea from sky, looking for an acre or two of Sovereign US territory bobbing in the ocean and your instructor's voice from previous years barking out in staccato verbiage "trust - your - instruments" and 30 minutes later you're sitting inside your steel Mom raising a glass of orange juice to the old man behind voice.
A few years later working in an underground tunnel setting up millions of dollars of equipment about to be obliterated in a flash... not being able to distinguish day from night...  trying to find an electronic anomaly holding up an event only this time the grizzled mentor is standing over you screaming "NEVER TRUST YOUR INSTRUMENTS!". You listen and once again an old guy saves the day.  Time for breakfast.

Life is fickle.

Not the first rule in flying, but one that needs to be heeded - "believe your instruments."

Are you sure it's a bad sender and not a sticking oil pressure relief valve?

Ok did a round robin to CLT out of ATL ( you guys will learn your city codes before this so all over!) one of my good friends had a retirement party from AA, 40 years of flying!
Car turned 32,000 plus on this trip so I’ve put a little over 5 K on it since I picked it up in late May.
Oil pressure sensor is acting up, again!!!
Above 4K the pressure pegs to 140!!!!
Below that it returns to the 70 Psi level
This is the second sensor it’s had and to be honest the damn thing sits in a horrible place
That’s really about it
What is it with the Mustang crowd anyway?
Why do they feel that they have to rev the engine, drop a gear and make noise when they see a Ferrari on the interstate?
Had 2 do this on the way home today.
Oh well
It is what it is.
Big trip coming up in early November, cold weather starts, you name it, maybe even some SNOW!!!!
Later
It’s Friday
