A number of years ago, spent the morning and had lunch with Tom Tjaarda, designer of the Pantera. (And, Rob, of one of your favorites, the mid 70s 365 California Spyder). He designed it with a chin spoiler. Early cars were produced without. He was heading west out of Torino and said at 140-150mph the front got so light as to be way unsafe. He called them and insisted they put the spoiler back on.
