Pressure sensors go bad on these cars. If in doubt, plug in a shop type manual gauge. I don't think I'd touch the pressure adjustment.
Hans. 1981 308 GTSi: I’m in 5th gear, 4,000 rpm and the oil pressure is at 120 steady hot or cool days, oil temp is 170.
It's been like this all summer. If my memory is good, pressure used to be at 85-90 all the time. Is it just me ? Is that normal ?
Owner’s manual says pressure should be 78 to 92 at 6,000 rpm and oil temp at 212.
Owner's manual also says “The oil pressure is adjustable by means of the valve situated on the crankcase front cover”. Can I do it (adjust the pressure) myself ? Which page on the parts manual is that ?
