That is one thing I do notice these days is the smell of the exhaust. Not just my car, but any classic (or my coworkers Harleys). Something about it I just love.

 

Along those lines, my Dad used to smoke a pipe and pipe tobacco has a unique, wonderful aroma. So much better than cigarettes or cigars. Even as a little kid, I really liked it when he smoked (although it never gave me a desire to smoke). Some years ago, I was at a vintage race and picked up on that aroma instantly. It took me back about 30 years. A few moments later, some guy comes walking around the corner and up into the stands and there it was dangling from his mouth, a pipe... To paraphrase Homer Simpson, I thought: “Mmmmm, second-hand pipe smoke”.

I still think it is funny that the course costs a few lira less than I paid for my Mondial or my 308.

The guy who wrote this must be....  really young.

I never found a 308 to be difficult to drive at all.  Quite easy,
actually.  You sort of blend in to the controls, like it's an
extension of yourself.
