John, yes, exactly right.

At the large events, there is a lot of spectator foot traffic which causes 
traffic jams in the paddock. The idling time between paddock and grid can be 
considerable and that is when you are glad the fan is there.

On the Bugattis, the alternator can be mounted under the seat so it is 
invisible essentially.
