OHHHHHHH you rascal Michel - - - - you wanted to UPGRADE your cooler lines. Was that mentioned? If so I completely missed it and my apologies. All this time, had I been quizzed, I thot your were just trying to 1) find a possible leak; and, 2) pretty up the mess that was there. Well, those lines look pretty bullet proof. Pictures due when all is said and done . . . but now that you are in there – isn’t the motor mount a bit dirty? And golly, the brakes . . . concours – a slippery slope. BUT should you go concours route – just know that . . . no one ever loses in a concours. Your car always comes out better than when you started. : ) Onward Doug From: Ferrari <ferrari-bounces+dnt=dock.net [at] ferrarilist.com> On Behalf Of Michel Savard My saga with the 2 oil lines that didn’t want to be unscrewed from the oil cooler ended well. I brought the oil cooler to my mechanic and he put it in a vice and just gave a good hit with a steel bar on the 32mm wrench and MAGIC they both moved after one solid hit each. I would never have dared to do that myself. Now, I think I’ll paint it black with high-heat paint. Feeling good! Michael Savard (1981 308 GTSi) |
