Subject: [Ferrari] Good news and ...... more good news. (1981 308)

Finally tested my 308 today after changing my 2 oil lines and fuel filler while
in lockdown. Took the longest time ever to start after a long hibernation, I’ve
had the car for 19 years that was not normal, but it did eventually. It's 32
celsius, could be humidity too.
Let the engine warm up, no oil leak at all, no water leak, took time to bleed
the water, front and rear, drove around the neighborhood for 30 minutes, all is
good.

I noticed EVEN my oil pressure gauge worked. What’s happening ? Last fall, the
last 2 times I drove it, it didn’t work. Bought a new oil pressure sending unit
in the winter. Plus, since it’s in the same area, I thought I might as well
change the oil temp unit. Why not ? it’s 39 years old after all. I spent the
whole winter trying to figure out how to change those 2 because they are in a
very difficult place to work. A couple of you guys tried to help me. I gave up
last week. I said I’ll let my mechanic do his magic.

But it's working! I’m not really complaining but this is strange. Any thoughts
? Maybe when I changed my oil lines (one of them goes into the oil sending unit
housing, I touched a couple of wires………. who knows ?

As I was driving, I thought, maybe I’ll try to lock my doors when I get out.
The door lock hasn’t worked in over 10 years. maybe it is now working. But I
forgot to give it a try. My car is not at my home.

Strange things do happen when you drive an Italian car!
