Had a new one!  While in Iceland in '62, ordered a new white XKE from a book at the car store in Reykjavik and had it delivered to Momo's in NYC and picked it up in the middle of the Cuban missile crisis on the way back to Hamilton AFB near San Francisco!  Quite a story.  Paid $4200 for it and sold it for $6k after owning it for 3 years!!!
