That’s another thing I couldn’t be bothered with (Red Book).

After having my car for 20 years and have gone through it all, I know what’s original and what’s not. I know that the original was crap to begin with and what’s on there now will work and last.

Like the fuse boxes. Unless Ferrari has changed their construction, they would automatically put theirs in there (when inspecting) and the same thing will happen over time – rivets loosen up, contact is minimized, gets overloaded, heats up and melts plastic housing. Last time I checked, these things were $700 a piece.

After reading the link Erik posted the other day, now it’s a two year deal where the car needs to be recertified to make sure it’s compliant(!). An originality smog check!

Hans - no disagreement about that, but the ripped jeans??  C'mon.  At least dress like she's working for the commission on a horribly over-priced quarter-mil-plus car.

But maybe I'm just more old-fashioned than others of you.  😉

[p.s. - I also agree with - Peter? - about the relative *need* for such a sales pitch in this day and age.....  Unfortunately, like the "coveted" red book, it's become expected.  Which is another point - at that extreme price for a 308, did it even *have* a red book?  Not meaning to rehash that debate.....]

Given the typical choice of car salespeople - fat bald guy with a 20 year old suit, young arrogant gym rat type, or a pretty brunette. I'll take door #3. I can make up my own mind about the car, but might as well have some eye candy while I'm doing it. Don't find it "disrespectful" at all.

But maybe I'm a bit younger than some of you.

I?ve seen her often. Terrible fashion statement every time, but she does her homework. You have to give it to her. In this video I learned a few things about the 308s.
