Erik notes “I can do a 911 with an LS7 swap for much less and smoke it on the track.”

Forty years ago there was such a beast at  "Big Willie" Robinson’s and his wife Tomiko’s Terminal Island drag strip located between San Pedro and Los Angeles on an old Navy airfield.  It closed in 1996.

Ayep – I considered the “Beast” a visual lie . . how so?  I saw a Porsche 911 and heard a Corvette!  As it was – the big US of A GM engine lump LT1 Corvette weighs in at about 450 pounds.  And the super light German Porsche 911 watch made engine weighs in at . . 450 pounds.

WHaaaaat?  Yeah, but you have to add a radiator.  So – take out the 911 spare tire located in the trunk.

The Beast car was remarkably stable and very little had to be done to the suspension geometry.  Compare Corvettes parts prices and availability to the supposed German made like a watch motor . . . . if your name wasn’t Penske . . . BUWHahahahahahah.
