I sort of view track time as greatly accelerated street time. My son's Corvette is a dedicated track car with about 15k miles. But it's needed a gearbox overhaul and is on the verge of an engine overhaul. Wheel bearings, etc. also. Let's not talk about brakes. So it's a 15k mile car that has the wear and tear of a 200k mile car. Unless *everything* has been refreshed, I'd be skeptical. Track cars will typically need at least the nose resprayed as well. When you say "well maintained", fluid and friction materials are not enough. The mechanical bits have seen considerable wear. "Well maintained" in this setting will likely mean major components have been replaced or rebuilt. Hans.
