No mention of the ASA in the book. The only car that gets written about in the book is the 250 GTO. Only because it’s the most expensive car to buy today. All anecdotes are about people that came in and out of Ferrari life.

Ahhh – the ASA Coupe – looks mysteriously like the Porsche 356 replacement . . . the 901.
Or did Butzi Porsche copy the ASA Coupe?
Is there no honor amongst design thieves?
Well .. . Butzi did come out with the 901 design in very early 60’s and a 901 vehicle was shown for the first time at the Frankfurt Motor Show in Sep 1963.

Thanks for the candid review.

I like the wooden model of the ASA coupe on top of that display case. I find it intriguing Enzo was quite ambitious with that project. Any mention of that in this book?

Just finished the book. Like I initially wrote, over 220 pages of anecdotes. 2-3 or 4 pages per chapter. If you like anecdotes, that book is just o.k. Nothing deep, no room to analyse stories. I wrote about Imola ’82 already and Ferrari 6-wheel F1. I liked the picture (see below) of Villeneuve’s car after his crash in Japan where a few spectators were killed. Gozzi took that picture. Little gossip about Regazzoni and a 16-year old beauty. Avoided going to jail because Merzario lied and said Regazzoni was playing golf with him that afternoon. That was in the 70s. Plus the ‘museum of errors’ (see picture) where all broken parts were catalogued and kept by Enzo <image001.jpg><image002.jpg>as a reminder.

All in all, not worth it. Way too expensive. I’ll probably try to sell it on Ebay. Asking price is ridiculous now.
