Speed bumps on the highway Hunter? Ah ah ah Not a new idea – well where I first saw them, maybe it wasn’t planned. Jugoslavia, 1979, (well, now Croatia) Ičići. The main roads were so poorly built when the large triple trailer semi-trucks come screaming into a turn (everyone thinks they’re Schumacher) the asphalt pavement eventually turned into a ribbon. Whata place – beautiful – In the same area the Monaco of Motorcycle racing - the Opatija Circuit was held. The Yugoslavian Motor Cycle Grand Prix. They raced on the city streets. Right along the sea coast on the Istria peninsula. Go off the track and it’s as much fun as the Isle of Man. Cheers |
