Great article, but there is a small error. “…medical car……. was dispatched by race command and arrived in roughly 10 seconds.”
The medical car starts the race behind the 20th qualified car and does the first lap in full before entering the pits. So, it was just following the F1 cars on the first lap many seconds behind the last cars. If the accident had happened on the second lap, with the medical car in the pits, Grosjean might have survived but he would have suffered severe burns.
