Ferrari 360GT Symbolic International Bring-A-Trailer Exclusive Auction

This 360 Challenge racer started out life as a special order from the authorized Ferrari dealer, Scottsdale Ferrari of Scottsdale, Arizona. The order was placed on behalf of their client, Daniel "Dan" Kennedy also of Scottsdale, Arizona and specified a request for one 360 Challenge Series Coupé.
Kennedy raced very successfully in the US 360 Challenge in 2000 and 2001.  He finished third overall at the last race of the year, in Monza, Italy and earned a 1st overall in the USA Challenge Series Class. He was subsequently awarded the "Rookie of the Year" award at the end of his first season as a result of his combined achievements with this Ferrari.

In March of 2001, Kennedy sold this Ferrari.  It had been raced on numerous occasions without a single on or off track incident and was noted at the time of the sale as being pristine and appearing near new and un-raced despite the many successes it scored with Kennedy behind the wheel.

The new owner was an internationally recognized car collector and high profile billionaire with an absolutely unlimited budget. He decided to bring the car up to Michelotto “360 N-GT / 550bhp” specifications and then some! in 2004 he chose to send the car to Ryan Negri’s R3 MotorSports of Van Nuys, California for a complete and total rebuild without consideration for time or expense. A massive series of updates and improvements were then incorporated over the next several years.

This Ferrari was given a full 4.0-liter engine update and complete suspension update.  A full list of all updates and modifications are as follows:

- Fitted with Ohlins Tuned Suspension
- 4-liter upgrade with stand-alone engine management system
- Matching tuned exhaust system
- Fitted with Hewland sequential, 7-speed, "no-lift shift" gearbox
- 50mm adjustable front sway bar added
- Twin front mounted 360GT radiators
- Updated with electronic power steering
- Full set of BBS 3 piece wheels installed
- Full set of 360GT center lock, pin-drive hubs installed
- Full “No-lift shift-kit" installed
- Grand Am regulation side crash bars installed
- New Lexan front windshields with Grand am bars installed
- Fully adjustable brake bias system installed
-Air Jack lift system

Upon completion of the last work and 4.0-liter engine update and installation of the no-lift-shift, Hewland Sequential Gearbox, this car has had four track test sessions only.  There is currently less than 1000kms of use, / 10 hours running time since the full rebuild and all updates.

With absolutely minimal weight, 550bhp on tap with no restrictors and a tuned, free-flow exhaust system, this machine absolutely rips up the pavement on any track at which it will provide endless amounts of nothing but miles and miles of track time smiles!

Most recently new Pirelli tires were installed and given a scrub in session only as well as full services including a new timing belt which is being installed over the weekend.

The previous owner had nearly $600,000 invested in this car yet never drove it an inch during his ownership.  The auction reserve price on Bring-A-Trailer is barely a fraction of that price and essentially free considering how much money has been lavished on this incredible machine.
