At what point did Roger stop driving for Chaparral and start his own CanAm cars?  He had the Zerex in 62?  That kinda started the CanAm thing going and then he drove for Jim, then had his own cars...  Muddled time line.

I love to look over vehicles, naked vehicles.  Shows their engineering solutions to common problems.

I especially liked looking at the 1960’s CanAm Group 7 cars in the garage.

Going down the line most had copied each other . . yep . . yep. . .& yep. . . then there was Penske.  What ever could go wrong there was a backup secondary system.

The Chaparral team?  Couldn’t get close to them.  They were off campus.  So there was a time a journalist asked Jim Hall – what’s with the big wing?  Jim replies in a nice Texas drawl – “stick you head out of a car window at 100 mph and you’ll find out.”

Ach – the olden days
