I owned a 84 QV GTB for over 11 years

Great car 

Put over 110k on it 

But it wasn’t worth the $66k this one sold  for sorry

That 550 money which is what the 550 are wholesaling for 

But they the 550 crowd  are living in an alternative universe because it has a manual gear box

So the price is inflated 

And the sad thing is that when you see cars with manuals you usually see 

Clutch replaced at....

In all the Ferraris I’ve owned I never replaced a clutch 

Well enough of that

He bought what he wanted 

You know me buy the car close to the price you would get as a trade in

     RF4-4EVR

As a long term 308 owner, follower of the cars and a part of the target audience, this seems about right to me, pretty good car at or near the top condition and spec of the QV.

There might be a lot of the 308/28 models made, but don't underestimate just how many of us from the Magnum PI generation are now in our 50's and have these cars are the VERY top of our wanted list. There has recently been quite a lot of youtube and social media buzz about the 308 Series which can only help push up awareness, desire and prices.  Part of the appeal is a lack of computers on the carburetor cars.... my generation can understand and fix them, later Ferraris are too complicated and need dealer work we wont pay for.

Supply and demand will always set the price, and the demand/desire is real and growing (as we age and get more money)..... but for the best condition cars... the price spread will be large and we will only pay good money for a really good car.
