The ’nose’ of the u-nut is just under 1/2” long. That went into the floor and whatever is in that hole. In my opinion, this add stability to all 4 corners. At least the thread of the bolt is screwed in real tight into the u-nut and is not rubbing on anything damaging the thread in the long term. It’s still better than having nothing in there.
