That really is it.  History and beauty.  As an Italian I can tell you that Ferraris are the epitome of classic Italian souls.  They are the melding of art and engineering.  If DaVinci designed a car, it would be a Ferrari.  Lamborghinis are more about ego and status.  They are for Camaro owners with a lot more money.  

I actually get why people buy them to just display.  It is a piece of art.  But it isn't just art.  That is why is should be driven.  The people who don't are looking at it as just art and, like art, the investment aspect of it.  

Back to the ego thing.  If you buy these cars for just status and an ego boost or just to get women, you have deeper issues that WILL catch up with you eventually.  Pride comes before the fall.
