Keep in mind, when this car was updated, the 355 made it’s debut, which was a great facelift of the 348 – they smoothed off those sharper points of the 348 (which in turn, was heavily influenced by the Testarossa) and gave it a modern look. To keep things looking more “in the family” with the 355, they smoothed off the sharper points of the 512TR and included the 355 elements like the front turn signals, rear lights, interior design, etc into this, the F512M.

 

It’s more of a dog’s breakfast than a restyle. Nothing really fits into the design. It looks tacked on.

 

They got it perfect when they face-lifted the Testarossa into the 512TR. If they kept the 512TR body and stuffed this M motor in, then I would like it more.

I agree.  Don't like it at all.  They tried to go back to round tail lights but failed to pull it off.  Don't like the headlights and the grille doesn't work.
