At the end of our tour we were at the end of the assembly line where the
support track decends, lowereing the completed car to the floor. The test
driver got in, punched the Start button and drove out through the roll-up
door on his way to the test track. One of the others in the tour asked the
tour guide "What happens if the car doesn't star? At the Corvette factory
they have 4 tow trucks to take the cars to a repair facility." The tour
guide replied "I don't know, I have only worked here for 5 years and I heve
never seen a car fail to start. "
